/Daniel and his three friends have been swept away into captivity in Babylon. There, they re-emerge in a very pagan nation and culture. In God’s providence they are chosen among others to be trained to serve in the Kings court. They will be given the best living arrangements, education, foods, and a future in the King’s service.
