He is a forerunner to the coming anti-Christ of the Roman Empire. These and other anti-Christs are types and shadows of the ones that are here today and in our future. The story of the Hanukkah gives us the contexts, portraits, and principles to persevere and overcome our anti-Christs, and their agendas, oppression, and persecutions.
