Fall Festivals 2019
The Fall Festivals are right around the corner! Make sure you don’t miss a thing by clicking on each festival listed below. Resources about dates, times, and locations will be found under each. Flyers will be coming out soon!
Sukkot Day 1 and Eighth Day Setup Teams
We are in need of 10 – 15 volunteers to help setup Sukkot Day 1 and the Eighth Day services. If you are coming to these services and would like to help please contact Shaina at email@example.com.
Come celebrate Yom Teruah with us on Monday, September 30th at EB Rains Park from 11 am to 2:30pm! We will have a service with dancing, shofar blowing, Taslich, and a short message. Please bring a picnic lunch (grills will be available) for your family, your shofar, and a jacket. Honey and apples will be provided as a reminder of the sweetness of the hope and glory we have through Jesus in this new year. We hope to see you there! Click here for more information.
We will have a Yom Kippur Prayer Vigil on Tuesday, October 8th, at The Harvest from 7pm to 12am and a Yom Kippur service on Wednesday, October 9th, at The Harvest from 1 to 3 pm. On Yom Kippur it is not required, but traditional to wear white. It is also traditional to fast on this day. Fasting is for healthy adults, not recommended for children, pregnant or nursing mothers, or individuals who need to take medication daily with a meal. The Harvest recommends consulting your physician before participating in the fast. For more information on Yom Kippur click here.
Summer Quarter End
The summer quarter of Shabbat classes ended on September 14th. Join us on October 5th for the start of our summer quarter! Check our website next week for a list of class descriptions.
THYA Movie Night
The Harvest Young Adults (ages 18 – 29) are invited to a 80’s flick night on September 28th at 6pm and wings are on the menu. The movie of choice will be Back to The Future. Bring your favorite snack, drink, and comfies. The location will be at the Westhafers.
Congregational Dance Workshop
If you would like to learn the newest congregational dances, come to our congregational dance workshop on Saturday, September 28th from 11:30 to 12:30 in the fellowship Hall. This workshop will include I Will Be Undignified, Always Enough, and a completely new dance, King.
