The Second Great Pentecost
May 23, 2026 • Pastor Mark McLellan
The second great Pentecost occurred approximately 1,500 years after the first, when Israel was called out of Egypt and constituted as the Kahal (Ekklesia), the Church of God. This second Pentecost took place in Jerusalem, fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. At this decisive moment under the new covenant, Israel received the long-promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit. From that event, the message of the Gospel and the power of the Spirit surged forth like a mighty river, first through Israel and ultimately reaching the nations. Join us as we explore the significance of this second great Pentecost.
