When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these..."
Mark 10:14 NIV
Messianic education is provided on Shabbat during the sermon. During Torah Time Sprouts, the children focus on crafts, activities, and games that center around biblical principles and stories. The Torah Time Sprouts goal is to teach children a rounded understanding of bible stories as well as begin to teach children how to apply biblical principles, like patience, to their daily lives. This class also prepares children to move from general bible themes to more specific ones in the Torah Time Saplings. On Shabbat, Torah Time Sprouts is available for children 3 through 6 years of age from approximately 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The class is located on the lower level in the preschool room and is free and open to everyone while attending our Shabbat Service.
We have four main teachers that engage the children in distinct and different ways. We also have teachers assistants and provide youth, ages 12 to 18, the opportunity to assist the teachers in class. If you have a desire to serve in this ministry whether that be as a teacher, a teacher's assistant, or as youth assistant please contact our Children's Ministry Director, Laurie Flynn.
