Executive Pastor, Michael Gonzales

Michael Gonzales was born on March 15, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the middle of five children born to Paul and Louisa Gonzales. Michael was educated through the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Independent School district. Upon graduation from Cassata High School in 1990, Michael enlisted in the Army. It was at this time that he married his “high school sweetheart”, Margaret Arriaga. At the conclusion of his enlistment in 1993, Michael enrolled at the Art Institute of Dallas. In 1995 he received an Associate of Arts Degree in Visual Communications and began a career in graphic and Internet design. In 1998 the Gonzales’ first child was born. This same year they withdrew their membership to the Roman Catholic Church.

In 1999 Michael was given the opportunity to relocate his family to Denver, Colorado which had been one of his childhood dreams. After achieving many of his career goals, Michael began to stray from his faith until the Internet industry began to crumble. This was a trying and humbling time for Michael and was the catalyst that caused him to make a complete return to God. In February of 2000, the Gonzales’ were introduced to Kehilat T’nuvah and Messianic Judaism. In April of 2000, after the birth of their second daughter, they began to pursue God through fervent Torah study and prayer. By the end of 2000, Michael and Margaret were both born again and immersed. Soon after, they became members of Kehilat T’nuvah and have been fully committed to the congregation's mission and vision.

In 2001, Michael realized a call to fulltime ministry. Through Kehilat T’nuvah’s Leadership Training School (LTS), he began working vigorously toward this goal. Since 2001, Michael has served on the Kehilat T’nuvah Leadership Team in various capacities. He has volunteered in many areas of the ministry meeting the needs of the congregation whenever possible. His dedication to Kehilat T’nuvah, his professional experience, and the effort he put towards LTS qualified him to be licensed as a pastor. In May of 2006, Michael joined the Kehilat T’nuvah staff and now serves as the Executive Pastor. His responsibilities include assisting Senior Pastor, Mark McLellan, in the day-to-day operation and organization of the congregation.

Pastor Michael resides in North Metro Denver with his wife, Margaret, and their five children.
