PART II: WHO'S YO MAMA! AND DOES IT REALLY MATTER?

Jewish Identity
According to Jewish law, a Jew is one who is born to a Jewish mother or is converted to Judaism. Therefore, a child who is born to a Jewish father and a non-Jewish mother is not Jewish even if raised with a Jewish identity. www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org

TNK Genesis 46:20 To Joseph were born in the land of Egypt Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath daughter of Poti-phera priest of On bore to him.

Last week we discovered that based on current Jewish religious laws, Ephraim and Manasseh would not be Jewish if they had been born today. Imagine that.
