The children are led in a discussion during Sabbath Class.

“Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
– Proverbs 22:6

The children are led in a discussion
during Shabbat Class.

Children are a blessing from God. They are abundant in number at The Harvest. We provide many class times for children to come and grow and have relationship with one another. Children’s classes are provided for 5-11 year olds.

Messianic education is provided on Shabbat mornings during adult Shabbat classes, and it is also provided during the sermon given by Pastor Mark. These times focus on studying the weekly Torah portion as well as many Torah-based principles for living.
Other class times provided for children are after the service while parents are getting prayer or serving the community in some respect, as well as during Monday Night Live. The Monday Night Live classes are for the children to really have fun – they have movie nights and game nights regularly as well as crafts and projects that center around biblical principles.

View a segment of the Purim play, Here's Looking at You Esther! performed on March 13, 2006 by the children from 5 - 11 years old. Based on the 1942 movie, Casablanca, the play was written by Larry Smith and directed by Pastor Charissa Haines. Launch The Video!

Children's Education Director, Laurie Flynn

Children's Education Director
Laurie Flynn

Laurie has a tremendous heart for the little people of our community and serves them with joy. She often leads classes herself as she enjoys it so much. She brilliantly balances enforcement of good behavior with the freedom for the children to have a lot of fun while they are in her classes. Laurie has done a fantastic job of organizing the children’s department.
